"Mike Hanel, director of MH, stepped in to continue a horrible job performed by Arch Homes Contracting, Richard Jackson, who scams consumers out of their money by collecting high deposits and do not finish the job. MH came in and within one week, they were on the job working diligently and made great progress. They're not 100% complete yet, but I'm much more pleased with MH compared to ARCH Homes. Mike has not requested any money until the job is 100% complete. He's follows through & healed me to regain faith in contractors. Whereas Richard Jackson, Arch Homes guy, who was recommended by Home Advisor's, broke my trust in contractors because I paid this guy a down payment of 7,790 in Dec 2015 for basement finishing and the scarce amount of work that was completed from Dec 2015 to May 2016 was not work 7,790. Beware of Arch Homes. But, trust MH. MH has probably had to complete the project started by Arch Homes in the St. Charles County area. Mike is an honest, trustworthy, and has good ethics and workmanship. Richard Jackson is not to be trusted who has been on the news for scamming consumers. My last piece of advice before hiring a contractor is to investigate the company and contractor's name thoroughly. Contact the Attorney General's Office for a deeper investigation. Unfortunately home advisor and bbb gave Arch Homes a high rating when I did my homework but I failed to contact BBB. These contractors can change the name of the company that prevents them from being tracked of their scams. MH has a clean record."

"We are early in the process and are doing a full kitchen remodel. They started 3 days ago but I will say that Mike and his team from MH Contracting have been amazing. So far the work has been done exactly the way it was described. They clean up each day to the point where there is little to no debris or dust. To say they are professional is an understatement. During the initial process when I had questions I cannot remember a time Mike did not pick up his phone immediately or call me back within a few minutes. It is seldom you find a contractor that is as professional and thorough as Mike and his team. I noticed another review saying they were straightforward and I could not agree more. I absolutely highly recommend MH Contracting. We will use them for every repair or addition to our home moving forward or rely on Mike for his guidance as to who to use. "MH Contracting delivered an impressive structure, the credit for which any contractor would be proud to claim. (See attached photo. Note that the owner (me) has not yet performed his scope of work, namely painting, staining and installing balusters.) Mike was the first to contact me when my firm price, competitive quote, request for quotations was posted on Home Advisor. The project scope was basically to demolish a large existing 37 year old, 832 ft2, two-level cedar deck and replace it with a similar pressure-treated pine structure. All construction materials, equipment and debris had to be manually transported to and from my driveway, which is 13’ above the deck grade, because vehicular access was not possible. Mike and his brother Scott are the heart and soul of MH Contracting, each of them two-tour armed services veterans. There "exceed expectations and make it happen" attitudes are easy to recognize. They and their entire hard working crew were without exception professional, polite and respectful. Since this was a firm price, competitively bid project I expected an effort would be made to get change orders approved which would increase the project cost. This did not happen, it was never even brought up for discussion. MH Contracting suggested and implemented several structural, quality, and aesthetic improvements, all with no cost increase. These included: Grade 1 vs grade 2 lumber, 2X10 & 6X6 vs 2X8 & 4X6 sub structure, free standing rails posts to eliminate house siding penetrations, extended posts above deck railing and added toe-rail for improved appearance, raised a sagging door sill to fit on the decking, and constructed a new step to the lower deck. They told me upfront, "we only leave satisfied customers behind". I am a believer"

"MH Contracting is absolutely top notch! I cannot nor would not think of hiring anybody else for any of my needs at my home. My wife and I wanted to make our basement into a master suite with a large master bathroom and large walk in closet. We contacted Home Advisor which then put us in touch with several companies. MH Contracting was without fail, the best choice. After meeting with all of the companies and comparing bids, we knew that Mike and MH Contracting was the way to go. We had grand plans but were not sure that we could afford to do everything at once. We needed to start with adding an egress window to the basement. Their quote was right within our budget. Mike helped take our basement from an in home office to a wonderful paradise. My wife and I must have changed our plans at least 10 times during the process. Each time Mike and Scott said "no problem". We went from planning a 65 sq ft bathroom to over a 220 sq ft bathroom with an additional walk in closet at another 120 sq ft. This does not even include the master bedroom. From the beautiful walk in shower, 72" soaker tub, tv mounted above the tub to the heated floors, everything has turned out perfectly. Both Mike and Scott are very scrupulous about every aspect of what they do. Then we decided to take down a wall between our twin's bedrooms to make one large room. You can't even tell where the wall was. Their drywall work is amazing. They showed up on time, worked a full day and cleaned up every single day they were here. We trusted them from the beginning. We gave them the alarm code and access to the house exclusively. They even worked while our 13yr old twins were home over spring break. Never a trust issue and that's hard to come by now a days. Our project took about 2 months from start to finish. I've already had Mike and crew out to my father in laws house for some electrical work and to my daughter's house to work up a quote for all new windows and some much needed concrete repair issues. I can't wait for our next project to be planned."

"Job went very well. They even picked the window up from the supplier at no extra charge. They spackled the window sill where it got scratched and offered to repaint the sill but I didn't have the paint. My only disappointment was they didn't clean the window but they are contractors not window washers. John is a very professional young man who really knows what he is doing and Scott does what ever he can to make the customer happy. I asked for many bids for this job and they gave me the best price. "We found ML Contracting LLC on Home Advisor and they did not disappoint. Mike and his men were prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. The Plumbing, electrical work, dry walling, and painting were completed competently and in a timely manner. The project was managed and supervised by Mike, who also performed some of the work. In all, they were a super team---fine young men. We are very pleased with the finished product. The corner fireplace is raised and built into the wall, adding ambiance. The flooring is tile plank, that resembles wood, and looks great. We have a built in closet and there is room in the utility room for a "fort" and toddler table and chairs, etc. under the stairwell. Now, our lower level has a library, bar, rec room, storage room, 2 bedrooms, bathroom-----and our latest ALL PURPOSE room! When we have an overflow of family, it will become our fifth bedroom. We highly recommend MH Contracting LLC. "
